The Meadows

The cabin was clean and the host provided info via emails something you might want to know to prepare for your stay:The upstairs bedroom is spacious but it’s designed like a loft, without a door to the bedroom Other than finding that out, we enjoyed our stay!

The property was exactly as described. There was plenty of room for our party of 6 (4 adults & 2 kids). We were in town for a volleyball tournament at the casino. It was a less than 10 minute drive to the casino! There were several horses in the pasture behind the house. We all enjoyed watching them.

Our experience with this property was extremely disappointing. Communication with the host became unprofessional and hostile, ultimately resulting in a last-minute cancellation of our reservation while we were already on site with our family.We reached out early in the morning to ask—politely—whether an early check-in might be possible, understanding completely if it was not. When we arrived approximately 30 minutes before the posted 4:00 PM check-in time and found the cabin appeared ready, we waited in the car and sent a message for clarification. Instead of a courteous response, the host reacted in an unexpectedly confrontational manner, escalating quickly despite our attempts to remain respectful and comply with all policies.Throughout the exchange, the tone from the host was accusatory and unprofessional, culminating in the host canceling our stay on the spot and disabling the door code while we were still outside the property. This left us scrambling to secure last-minute accommodations in freezing weather.I understand hosts have rules and schedules to manage, and we fully respected the stated 4 PM check-in time. However, the way the situation was handled was unnecessary and unbecoming of someone operating a short-term rental. Future guests should be aware that flexibility and courteous communication should not be expected at this property.
